Enine Sites Help
Step-by-step help for building, managing, and finding your Enine site.
Getting Started
Sign up, create your site, and set the basics.
Sign up, create your first Enine site, and set up its title, logo, and contact details.
Sign up
Click Get started or Login on eninesites.com, enter your email, and click the Sign in button in the magic-link email.
Create your site
After signing in, name your site, pick a plan and template, then click Create Site.
Site basics
In Edit Mode, click the menu on your site's top card and choose General, Contact, or Appearance to edit your settings.
Building Your Site
Add sections, edit them, and control what visitors see.
Edit Mode, sections, images, links, and what visitors see on your site.
Edit Mode and Preview
Log in at eninesites.com to see your site with a toolbar; click the pencil to edit and the eye to preview.
Add and edit a section
In Edit Mode, type a title and text into the empty card at the bottom of your page, then add an icon or image if you like.
Open a section's page
In Edit Mode, click the arrow button on a section's card to open its own page, where its items are listed as cards.
Add an item
Open the section's page, click the empty Title… card at the end of the list, and type a title to create a new item.
Reorder items
Drag an item's position box up or down the list and drop it where you want it.
Edit a section's details
In Edit Mode, open a section's menu and choose Values to set its name, label, short title, description, and tagline.
Show, hide, or feature
In Edit Mode, open a section's menu, choose Settings, then switch Published, Show on homepage, or Featured on or off.
Delete a section
In Edit Mode, open a section's menu, choose Delete…, and click OK. It also deletes everything inside the section.
Upload and reuse images
Click + in any image picker on the page to upload a file once, then pick it from your library wherever you need it.
Links, phones, and emails
Create each link, phone number, or email once under Manage, then Links, and point your buttons and content at it.
Link sections with Mapping
Click Manage, then Mapping, pick two sections, and tick boxes in the grid to link items between them.
Relate an item to others
Open an item's menu, choose Mapping, then pick a section and an item in each row to link them.
Making It Yours
Logo, hero image, colors, buttons, and themes.
Set your logo, hero image, colors, homepage buttons, and theme.
Logo and favicon
Open Manage, then Content, choose your site, then the Media tab, and pick your Logo and Favicon.
Hero image
In Edit Mode, click the picture box on the top card, then upload or choose the large image for your homepage.
Site colors
In Edit Mode, open the top card's menu, choose Appearance, and set your Body, Primary, Secondary, and Accent colors.
Call-to-action buttons
In Edit Mode, open the top card's menu, choose General, and add homepage buttons that each have a label and a link.
Change your theme
Click the theme name next to Manage in Preview, or choose a Theme on the Appearance tab of your site settings.
Getting Found

Set up AEO
Open a section's menu, choose AEO, write a one-line Description, pick an AEO Role, and check the JSON-LD preview.
Edit SEO
Click Manage, then SEO, pick a page, and set the title and description search engines show for it.
Run an audit
Click Run audit in the Content Manager header, then fix the pages marked with red errors or orange warnings.
Domain and Data
Custom domains, backups, restores, and deleting a site.
Connect a custom domain, download and restore backups, and delete a site.
Custom domain
Enter your domain when you create your site, or email us to attach a domain to an existing site.
Download a backup
Click Manage, then Download backup (.zip), to save a backup file of your whole site to your computer.
Restore from a backup
Click Manage, then Restore from backup…, and choose a backup file to load its content into your site.
Delete your site
Download a backup first, then choose Delete Site from the Manage menu and type your domain to confirm.
Coming Back
Log in, set a password, and reset one.
Log in with a magic link or password, set a password, and reset one you forgot.
Log in with a magic link
Click Login on eninesites.com, enter your email, then click the Sign in button in the email; the link lasts 1 hour.
Log in with a password
On the Magic link page, click Sign in with a password, then enter your email address and password and click Login.
Set or change your password
Log in, open the Account menu at the top right, and choose Set Password to log in with a password later.
Reset a forgotten password
Click Forgot password? on the login page, enter your email, click Password Reset, then follow the link we email you.
For Developers

Get an API token
Email us from your account address and name the site; we send back a token to use in the Authorization header.
First API request
List your sites with GET /api/v1/site/, then read one site's content by putting its domain in the path.
API basics
Reading needs site membership, writing needs the editor role, requests and responses are JSON, and errors use one shape.

No sign-in email
If the sign-in email doesn't arrive, wait two minutes, check spam, confirm the address, then request a new link.
Sign-in link doesn't work
Magic links expire after 1 hour; request a new one from the Magic link page and use the newest email.
Can't log in with password
Check your email address and caps lock, or click Forgot password? on the login page.
No password reset email
If the password reset email doesn't arrive, check spam, confirm the address, then request another reset.
Changes aren't showing
If a change isn't visible, check it saved, Published is on, and Show on homepage is on, then view your site's own address.
Image looks wrong
Match the image to its slot's shape, upload a larger file if it's blurry, and use a transparent PNG for logos.
Audit errors and warnings
Red numbers are errors and orange numbers are warnings; fix the highlighted field, then click Save & audit.
