How to delete a section

In Edit Mode, open a section's menu, choose Delete…, and click OK. It also deletes everything inside the section.

You need to be logged in with your site open.

Steps

  1. Click the pencil icon on the right of the toolbar to turn on Edit Mode.
  2. On the section you want to remove, click the menu button (the ≡ icon) at the right of its title.
  3. Choose Delete…, at the bottom of the menu.
  4. A box asks Delete "your section's name"? and warns that it also deletes everything nested underneath it, all the way down, and cannot be undone. Click OK to delete, or Cancel to keep the section.

You should see

The section, and everything inside it, gone from your page.

Good to know

Deleting removes the section's own sections, their children, and so on all the way down. It cannot be undone. To hide a section without losing it, switch Published off instead. See How to show, hide, or feature a section.

Another way

  1. Click Manage in the toolbar, then choose Content.
  2. Click the section in the list on the left.
  3. Click the red Delete button at the top right.
