How to add links, phone numbers, and emails

Create each link, phone number, or email once under Manage, then Links, and point your buttons and content at it.

You need to be logged in.

Steps

  1. Click Manage in the toolbar, then choose Links.
  2. Click + Create link.
  3. Enter a Label, the text visitors see, such as Call.
  4. Enter the destination. Use a normal https:// address for a website, tel:9209236463 for a tappable phone number, mailto:hello@example.com to open an email, or sms: to open a text message.
  5. Check the live preview of the button.
  6. Click Save.

You should see

The new entry in your Links list.

Where your links are used

Every outside destination on your site lives in the Links list. Two places use it:

  • Social media links: in Edit Mode, click the menu button (the ≡ icon) on the top card, then choose Contact.
  • A section's External Link: the destination a section or item points to. You set it in the section's URLs panel, which you open from the section's menu (the ≡ icon).

Call-to-action buttons do not use the Links list. You type their destination in the Action box. See How to add call-to-action buttons.

Good to know

Editing an entry updates every place that uses it, so change a phone number or address once and it is right everywhere. One entry can be used in as many places as you like.

You cannot delete an entry that is still in use, so remove it from everything else first.
