How to restore your site from a backup

Click Manage, then Restore from backup…, and choose a backup file to load its content into your site.

You need a backup file you downloaded from Enine Sites.

Steps

  1. Download a backup of your current site first, so you can return to it. See How to download a backup of your site.
  2. Click Manage in the toolbar.
  3. Under Backup, click Restore from backup….
  4. Choose your backup file.

You should see

The content from your backup loaded into your site.

Good to know

Restoring is a big change to your site, which is why the option is shown in red. A restore can replace your current content and media with what is in the backup, so always download a fresh backup first.

Together with regular backups, restoring gives you undo for the whole site.
